"I'm certainly no expert, since this is the first stand
mixer I've owned, but I've had it for about 6 weeks now and I
have really used it. I've been kneading bread dough with it at
least once a week (and I never baked bread from scratch before)
and making muffins and cookies, whipped potatoes, pizza dough,
anything and everything. I haven't used the wire whip yet. Both
of the other attachments and the bowl I've been washing in the
dishwasher with great success. I've mixed up double batches of
bread dough, pizza dough, and muffins, with lots of room to
spare in the bowl and no apparent strain on the motor. I
haven't needed to go past the first two speeds. It's easy to
use, easy to clean, and looks great on my counter. I couldn't
be more pleased."

"There is a reason why professionals prefer to use
Kitchenaid Stand Mixers. They are simply the best. This is not
only an appliance that will last a lifetime, it is a beautiful
addition to any kitchen decor. I loved mine so much I bought
one for my sister as a housewarming gift. The mixer is fun and
easy to use. I love making cookies and cakes in it, and pizza
dough takes about 2 minutes to make with the dough hook. I
don't recommend making pie crusts or biscuits in it though,
some things just must be made by hand or they will be
overworked and tough. But I don't buy pre-made cake frosting
anymore. It's too easy to whip up something in the kitchenaid,
and it tastes better too. I would think that the only people
who wouldn't like this excellent piece of equipment are those
who really don't cook or bake much anyway. For everyone else,
do yourself a favor and get one!"

"I just got this mixer and have been baking and cooking away
with it. It has really made working in the kitchen easier and
frankly much more fun. Definitely worth the money. I got it
with The Mixer Bible cookbook and I recommend it for anyone who
owns a stand mixer. It has helped me understand what all the
mixer can do and there are tons of great recipes. For just a
little bit more money, the book makes the mixer so much more
valuable."

"So I had been using
my grandmothers old Sunbeam stand mixer. You know, the type
where you had to spin the bowl and constantly push down the
dough with your spatula. Enter the KitchenAid 600. This machine
has totally changed the way I bake. I was actually a little
upset at first because I felt that I wasn't really cooking if I
wasn't constantly feeding dough to the dough hook. But having
my hands free (and a paddle that gets the dough off the sides)
allows me to really play with the ingredients. Where I was
baking three or four times a month, now I'm baking a few times
a week just so I can use this machine. Its well made, holds up
to whatever I make it do, is attractive and makes baking more
fun than it already is."

something costs (within reason, of course), if the quality is
there. And it is truly there with KitchenAid. I have always had
a KitchenAid mixer and presently have a stand mixer and a
9-speed hand mixer. They are both great and perform
beautifully. I recently moved into a smaller kitchen and needed
to downsize into an Artisan mixer from a large Professional
KitchenAid and I'm totally happy with it. I always recommend
KitchenAid mixers to everyone."
